The Accidental Mummy: Stacked

So much more trip than I signed up for...

In March 2010, I sold my Toronto condo, packed my bags and moved to London. Since then I have cried my eyes out surrounded by suitcases on the floor of Heathrow Airport, laughed my ass off climbing the chalk cliffs of South Downs, fallen in love with the Tate Modern approximately 13 times (I see other galleries and museums on the side - it doesn't mind), cursed the city more times than I can count, filled my passport with stamps, lived in a dodgy flat on Brick Lane, worked a temp job pressing a door buzzer from 8:30a.m. to 4 in Mayfair, worked as a freelance producer for the BBC's top current affairs programme, barely hung on to a horse galloping up a mountain in Wales, danced with strangers in Paris, made new friends, experienced pure loneliness, adored the city, hated the city, been indifferent to the city and fallen in, out and back in love with my boyfriend again.

I figured that was enough for one year. But then in April 2011, as I was getting ready to head back home, I learned that my one-year adventure abroad was about to turn into a life-long adventure in parenting.

I may also learn to play the guitar.

So yeah. Away we go... hope you enjoy the ride.
